Members who are keen to try outdoor pickleball  will be interested to hear that Brabyns Tennis Club are offering drop in sessions using two outdoor courts which they mark out each week for pickleball.  They are happy for us to advertise the arrangements to our members.  These are the key points:

• Sessions run on Monday mornings between 10.30 a.m.and 12 Noon;
• The regular cost is  £5 per week, but the first taster session is available free of charge;
• The Tennis Club can provide paddles for the first few weeks while guests decide whether they would like to keep on playing;
• Because play is outdoors it is weather dependant. The organiser, Mandy, uses a WhatsApp group to pass on information;
• During school holidays the courts are used for children's holiday activities so there are no pickleball sessions at those times;
• There is no need to go with a playing partner, everyone mixes in and, if they end up with an odd number, they can swap players in and out to ensure everyone has a game;
