Our thoughts are with the family and friends of members who have died recently. John Goodwin who had been a member for many years until recently when due to ill health he went into a nursing home. Veronica Dewsnap who was involved in many aspects of our u3a. She died suddenly and unexpectedly.

Geoffrey Fogg (Geoff) 1943-2026
Geoff was an active member of our u3a for many years. He was a committee member for a long time and as such assisted in the development of many projects. He was always ready to help and support new ventures.A keen sportsman who took part in a wide variety of different sports. He had been an ardent supporter of Manchester United since childhood. Joyce Moss 1937 - 2025
Joyce was a member of Marple Bridge & Mellor for the last 15 years. She helped with the catering for the Christmas party the first year she was a member and helped with various other u3a events. Most of you will remember Joyce as she served coffee, along with Wendy Atkinson, at the monthly meetings for many years.Joyce was educated at New Mills Grammar School and went to the Yorkshire College of Housecraft in 1955…
