Badminton Group details:

We are an energetic and friendly group who meet to play simply for enjoyment. We do not play competitively in any league, but in order to tune up our reflexes and maintain general fitness levels. It is also a great deal of fun and a good social activity, as we stop to chat and have a good natter as well. The newly built leisure centre in Brinnington is an ideal venue with excellent facilities and plenty of secure parking on site which is monitored by CCTV throughout the day. It is well lit and the courts are a pleasure to play on.

Everyone is welcome to come along for a taster session, but you must be a current member of our U3a to join us.( We are also happy to accept current members from Marple U3a and Romiley  U3a  as both are members of the Pennine Link.)

Where? We meet at Brinnington Leisure Centre, Northumberland Rd, Brinnington, Stockport SK5 8LS.

 Cost?  £2.50  per session – the group leader holds a leisure key and this keeps costs down

When?   Usually every Thursday at 2pm prompt for an hour of play.

Equipment needed –a racquet, appropriate clothing and suitable trainers. Shuttles are provided and the centre can provide a spare racquet if needed.
