Marple Bridge & Mellor

Trentham Gsrdens Trip (9 July)

Twenty three members headed to Trentham Gardens and their outlet village. As we boarded the coach, the temperature was already hitting 25 degrees!

The high temperature did not spoil the day as there were plenty of opportunities for water (or ice cream) stops. Most headed to the gardens first followed by the outlet village where we all took advantage of the air conditioned shops. Many also took advantage of the sales judging by all the shopping bags brought back to the coach.

It was an enjoyable day, the gardens were not overly busy as the school holidays had yet to start. The fairy walk and the lakeside walk were easy on the feet with splendid garden and lake views for which Trentham Gardens is renowned.
