An extremely successful event that was enjoyed by a crowd of our members. We raised over £705. Which is an incredible amount.

Lots of laughter and chatting with friends, new and old, whilst enjoying a drink and completing one of Colin’s really interesting quizzes.

 People made regular visits to all the different stalls, including gardening, white elephant, cards, books, jigsaws, guessing games etc. Not forgetting the cake and produce stall where people could replenish their supply of biscuits and cakes to go with their drinks and also to take home for later.

Members entered photographs into a competition in 2 categories, activity group related or general photos. We all had the chance to vote for a winner. The winning photos are shown below, with a selection of some of the other top submissons. So many to choose from. It would be good to see something similar next year.

The raffle was really popular and was stocked with a large amount of prizes. Thank you for the donations.

The money raised at this event along with other money we raise during the year will go to our charity for this year, Reuben”s Retreat. The monthly sales of books and jigsaws adds regularly to the amount. Please support these stalls at the General meeting at St Paul’s”s.

A representative from Reuben”s Retreat also had a stall and added another £70 the money raised on the day. She has passed an invitation to any member who wishes to visit them to contact them to make arrangements for a visit. We would be made very welcome.

All in all we had a fun filled morning which will profit our charity with nearly £800. Thank you to all who donated good, to all who helped and most of all to all of you who came any made this event so enjoyable and successful.
