A  group of us visited Wentworth Woodhouse on Thursday, the 30th of April. The weather was warm and sunny and the journey there took us through wonderful scenery in the Peak District and Yorkshire.

Wentworth Woodhouse is a huge stately home with a chequered history. We had a guided tour with an excellent guide who brought to life the history of the building.

We wandered through the grounds where the rhododendrons, azeleas, magnolias and bluebell were magnificent.
